Cindy enjoying a grooming session

At almost 13 years old Cindy is hovering between late stage chimpanzee adolescence and adulthood. She is sweet natured and has several close female friends – Leilah, Alice, Cecile, Niete, Emma – who she has known since they were all babies. She is low ranking and usually doesn’t get involved in conflicts between the males, but she enjoys spending time with them when tension is low.
