IDA-Africa gala in Portland

The evening of Friday, May 30th was filled with excitement as we held our fourth annual IDA-Africa gala in Portland, Oregon to raise funds for the chimpanzees of Sanaga-Yong Rescue Center! A surprise performance by The von Trapps, the great grand-children of Captain and Maria von Trapp, made for a magical evening! Having volunteered in Rwanda, Sofi, Melanie, Amanda and August, shared with IDA-Africa’s friends and family the Rwandan National Anthem, a message of forgiveness and hope!
